Fridge brings your calendar, finances, and other everyday information onto one board. That only works if you trust us with the underlying data, so this page explains — in plain language — what we collect, why, and the limits we hold ourselves to. This is a serviceable draft for our early beta; we will keep it current as the product grows.

What data we store

To run Fridge we store:

  • Account details — your name and email address, so you can sign in and we can reach you.
  • Boards and their contents — the widgets you add and the settings you choose.
  • Connected-service data — information we fetch from services you connect (see below), cached so your board loads quickly.
  • Operational data — logs and product analytics needed to keep the service reliable and secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

If you connect a Google account, Fridge requests read-only access to your Google Calendar (the calendar.readonly scope) so we can show your upcoming events on your board. We request the minimum scopes needed for the features you turn on, and we never request write access to your calendar.

Limited Use disclosure

Fridge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we only use Google user data to provide and improve the features you request; we do not transfer or sell it to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition; we do not use it for advertising; and no humans read your Google user data except with your explicit consent, to comply with the law, or for security purposes such as investigating abuse.

You can disconnect Google at any time from your Fridge settings or by revoking access in your Google account permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the calendar data we cached for you.

Financial data (SimpleFIN)

If you connect your finances, Fridge uses SimpleFIN to retrieve read-only account balances and transactions from your bank. We never receive or store your banking credentials — SimpleFIN handles the connection and gives Fridge a limited access token you can revoke. We use this data only to display balances and spending on your board. We do not sell it or share it for marketing, and disconnecting removes the financial data we cached.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how Fridge is used so we can fix problems and improve the product. This captures product-usage events (such as pages viewed and features used) and basic technical information (such as browser type and approximate, IP-derived location). We do not send your calendar or financial data to PostHog. Where required, we honor your browser's Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal.

How we protect and keep data

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to what's needed to run the service, and connected-service data is retained only while your connection is active. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your personal data and connected-service caches, except where we must retain records to comply with the law.

Your choices

  • Disconnect any connected service at any time.
  • Request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account.
  • Contact us with any privacy question or request.
